redmax has good quality blowers/trimmers.i found that the newer units take longer to warm up.i had an old redmax and it would run full throttle immediately.i bought a newer one and it just takes longer to go full throttle.a dealer told me it had to do with the new anti pollution shit they added.i dont know though.

ive had some trouble with the 8001’s bein temperamental lately so switched from 87 octane mobil to 89 to 94 problem was somewhat better when we switched but we just put some bp 93 ultimate in it and they run like brand new.

@SuperBigEv I wouldnt use anything but a Redmax blower. I have a RM trimmer also. They are both very reliable.

Are you happy with the RedMax? I have an 8 year old Echo SRM-210 and love it. It’s been bulletproof and still runs very strong. Don’t know if I want another Echo or a RedMax when I buy another trimmer. I got a RedMax HBZ-2601 blower that I love also. It’s about 1.5 years old.
I run Amsoil Saber Professional Synthetic 2-cycle oil in all of my 2-cycle equipment (including a Husqvarna 359 chainsaw).

I run it at 100:1 ratio, which is 1.3 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of gas. I love this stuff.

@Mrtocoolforyou12 the ebz 7001 tech spec for idle is 2500 rpms it sounds high but its not i work on these damn things all day i just put a piston and cylinder in an EBZ 8000 today what a great unit.

Actually the “Z” in the EBZ is for strato charged which makes this engine a strato charged two stroke that meets CARB emmisions standards with out the use of a catalytic conveter. The carburetor looks like a double barrel car but actually the bottom barrel is for fuel and air mix and the top barrel is for a straight air intake whic goes in between the power and exaust strokes to flush out all burnt fuel and no new fuel making a clean burning two cycle. Also you are only supposed to run 89 octane

I just hate it when a Stihl owner thinks he has the best. I call mine Katrina. When I rent it a home owner, then end up filing a disaster claim with FEMA
