Hello Derrick. FIrst off, we are in Charleston, SC…but we work in Florida quite frequently.
The purpose of our mix isn’t to get your lawn looking awesome right now. It’s to help it through the Winter months and be healthy when it comes out of dormancy in the Spring. By putting down a heavy Nitrogen based fertilizer like a 22-2-14, you will make the grass lush and green…but extremely susceptible to fungus. Our recommendation is for higher Potassium for better root growth for Winter. JW

Thanks for the info. What part of the US are you in? I live in Orlando, FL. Will this be applicable for my area also.
I normally use Scott’s WinterGuard Fall Lawn Fertilizer. The numbers for their mixture is 22-2-14 which isn’t the 1-0-2 you recommend. It is almost the exact opposite. Can you explain why this is?
Thanks again
