okay… this has nothing to do with lawn care… but I was wondering… are you 28 years old like it says on your channel?

From Wiki-”Simple Gifts” was written by Elder Joseph while he was at the Shaker community in Alfred, Maine in 1848. It has some wonderful lyrics, you should check it out.

I plucked this version from some song clips at a harp company’s web site. They had the same song played on different models. Pretty cool. (Sorry, I don’t remember the site, but it was within pretty easy Googling distance.)

Gasp! Was that an instrumental version of the Lord of the Dance that I have not previously heard there on the end?

What we do have, however, is rabbits, squirrels, skunks, and dogs. I think veggies would have a hard time. never mind the polluted earth from 90 years of heating oil delivery. I am not keen on actually raising vegetables for us to eat…

I used to covet the tomato forest of my neighbors over on Willow ave, and no one ever did them harm. I don’t think you’d have to worry about vandalism of your plants. Maybe sniping.

I so want to plant a veggie garden in the front yard. Do you think it would be vandalized? (Eaten would be fine, though.)

aw, tom … you’re a landscaper after my own heart. ‘cept that, as a renter, i pretty much don’t have to do ANYthing with the lawn. but if i did, i’d do the same as you.

although, hank and i have been talking an awful lot about edible landscaping recently. imagine if all the grass everywhere was carrots, beets or onions! no one would go hungry!

    mmmm…parasitic nematodes.

btw, the yeti is very impressed!

A push mower is going to be hard with all that grass, but we’ll see.
