www.StartALawnCareBusiness.com Hi Everyone This is Keith from www.StartALawnCareBusiness.com. If you want to start or expand a lawn care business, our website is a business resource for anyone wishing to start or expand a lawn care business. Visit us today at: www.StartALawnCareBusiness.com Today, I am going to review the RedMax EBZ8001 Commercial backpack blower. My brand new 8001 arrived well boxed in sturdy corrugated packaging. Apart from the blower tubes, the unit itself was fully assembled. A standard wrench, a hex wrench, and a sparkplug wrench were included for quick assembly of the blower tubes and standard maintenance. With my order, the folks at RedMax were kind enough to include 6 bottles of 50:1 2 cycle oil. The first thing I noticed about the RedMax was its considerable heavy duty construction. Its size over normal consumer model backpack blowers is impressive. The RedMax 8001 is powered by an air cooled 2-cycle engine. The engine size is a massive 71.9cc’s capable of moving 915 cubic feet per minute at over 200 mph. It has a digital ignition for easy start and uninterrupted operation. I was very impressed with the construction of the air filter chamber. Poor air filter design shortens the life of many consumer model blowers. The RedMax 8001 relies on a 2 stage air filter. The first stage is a foam filter. This is a dry filter and RedMax does not recommend oiling the foam stage before use. The second stage is a paper filter. This filter system is vital to …

add 2.75 ounces of air-cooled 2 cycle oil per gallon of gas for most 2 cycle lawn equipment; some lawn mowers like the old lawnboys you add 4 ounces of oil per gallon

stihl has the best string trimmers and chainsaws, redmax has the best blowers

its nowhere near as strong; you’ve obviously never used both for a cleanup; for mowing the 7001 and 8001 are about equally effective

I agree NayNay352. I own 2 Stihl BR 600’s and don’t think anything could possibly be better than them.

I did a LOT of research on on leaf blowers on professional landscaper websites as well as available consumer reviews. RedMax backpack blowers rated above all others by most professionals. I purchased a RedMax EBZ 7001 on Ebay and it is EXCELLENT! I have a huge lawn surrounded by hardwoods. This blower is incredible – it cuts my job in half. It will blow HUGE piles of leaves – even wet ones with ease. Usually cranks cold on second pull after priming. Reasonable weight, comfortable. I love it!

For this model, one bottle of 50:1 2-cycle oil is mixed with one gallon of gasoline. Your model’s mixture may vary. Check your owner’s manual for all information. Thanks for the question. Other questions are welcome here or at my email address located in the description.
